Vashonda Sherra is an LA based multi instrumentalist, singer songwriter, producer, and open format dj for festivals, conferences, private, & corporate events. Growing up in a musical family, Vashonda began performing professionally & writing music at 8yrs old. 1996-2005 she was the Musical Director for Redeeming Faith. 2002 she wrote & produced her first mixtape “Richetto”. 2007 Vashonda toured Japan as a vocalist for “Jesus Christ Superstar” with Grace Anne Productions. 2013 she released “Fern Keys” a tribute to her late grandmother via SoundCloud. 2015-2021 Vashonda was the MD, Keyboardist, & Vocalist for Double Treble and also the MD for the “Divas 4 Hope” annual Gala supporting healthcare for the LGBTQ community of Tulsa Oklahoma.  2018 Vashonda began collaborating with blues soul artist Mark Gibson, playing keys and vocalist on the album “Live At Soul City.” In December of 2019 production on her much anticipated EP had begun at Pyrric Productions Studio LA, however the pandemic put a halt on the project. During Covid, Vashonda connected with American roots soul artist Calvin Loron, and played percussion on his single “Right Now” recorded at AMR Studio. In spring of 2022 Vashonda Sherra returned to Los Angeles where she currently resides & works full time in the Music Industry. She has shared the stage with Big Freedia, Tatiana Tate, Laith Ashley, Icona Pop, Stephanie Saxon, Avant, Dave Hollister, Angie & Debbie Winans, & Shirley Ceaser to name a few. Her ability to play any genre from rock n roll, r&b, jazz, funk, soul, country & musical theater makes her the perfect addition to any band, recording studio session, or show! 

She collaborates with Morris Mills, Cheri Moon, Kat Dyson, Sput Searight, Snooknuk, Shiragirl, and the all female tribute band Sheblime. 

In the fall of 2023 Vashonda Sherra founded & launched “Vashonda Sherra & The Super Creatives” a collective of multidisciplinary artists based in both Los Angeles, CA and São Paulo, Brazil.

In the summer of 2025 she performed at all three legs of Vans Warped Tour 30th Anniversary celebration.

Vashonda Sherra is endorsed by Ultimate Ears Pro, a member of Jammcard, board member of the National Black Musician’s Coalition, and Strategic Advisor to Black Women Spin LA.

Vashonda has supported Music Cares playing at “When We Were Young Fest“ Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas, She Is The Music “Virtual Coffee House” for Essential Workers UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, & The National Women’s March Organization. 

Other performances include: Arlan Hamilton’s “Your First Million Live” at LA Live, Black Wallstreet’s Juneteenth, Route 66 Marathon, WeHo Pride and LA Tech Week at Live Nation.
